1.Where Do You Actually Apply? The Careers Pages That Exist
Start here. Four employers matter most to a Queen Creek job search: the top three on the Town’s own largest-employer list, set out in the next section — the school district, Banner Health and the Town itself — plus LG Energy Solution. Their application paths are not equally tidy. Two have clean, dedicated careers pages; one routes through a system-wide site with no local subpage; one has no careers page of its own at all. All four were checked on September 22, 2026.
| Employer | Where postings live | What the page publishes | Local-only page? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Town of Queen Creek | Human Resources “Career Opportunities” page on queencreekaz.gov; applications processed through governmentjobs.com | Open positions with stated open and close dates, plus a job-interest-card signup for email alerts | Yes |
| Queen Creek Unified School District | qcusd.org/Employees, with applications through Frontline Recruiting & Hiring at applitrack.com/qcusd | District employment landing page feeding an online application system | Yes |
| Banner Health (Banner Ironwood Medical Center) | bannerhealth.com/careers, system-wide; physician and advanced-practice roles through practicewithus.bannerhealth.com | System-wide postings; Banner Ironwood listings are confirmed only on the separate physician and advanced-practice board | No — no facility-specific careers URL exists |
| LG Energy Solution Arizona | The company’s LinkedIn company page for LG Energy Solution AZ | No dedicated LG-Energy-Solution-branded careers site was found | No |
The Town’s hiring rules trip people up
The Town of Queen Creek publishes its process alongside its postings. Read these four rules before you start, because none of them is recoverable after the fact.
- Only posted positions with a stated open and close date accept applications.
- A job interest card signup exists, which emails you when a matching position is newly posted. That is the mechanism for a position that is not open yet.
- Paper applications are not accepted. The process is online through governmentjobs.com.
- A separate application is required for each position. One submission does not carry across two openings, even similar ones.
Banner Ironwood has no careers page of its own
Banner Ironwood Medical Center is the local face of the town’s second-largest employer, but there is no Banner-Ironwood-only careers URL. Postings run through Banner Health’s system-wide careers site, with physician and advanced-practice roles on a separate Banner job board that does include Banner Ironwood listings. If a third-party site offers you a “Banner Ironwood careers page,” it is not the employer’s own. Our hospitals and urgent care guide covers what the facility itself does.
2.Who Are the Largest Employers in Queen Creek?
The Town of Queen Creek’s Economic Development office publishes its own top-ten employer list, and it is the only employer ranking for the town we found on an official site. The list credits the Maricopa Association of Governments 2023/2024 Employer Database, as of July 2025, so every count below is a 2025-published figure drawn from a 2023/2024 dataset — not a live headcount.
| Rank | Employer | Sector | Employees |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Queen Creek Unified School District | Education | 1,630 |
| 2 | Banner Health | Healthcare | 800 |
| 3 | Town of Queen Creek | Government | 589 |
| 4 | Walmart | Retail | 417 |
| 5 | Chandler Unified School District | Education | 373 |
| 6 | Costco | Retail | 354 |
| 7 | Fry’s Food | Retail | 298 |
| 8 | Target | Retail | 280 |
| 9 | Safeway | Retail | 239 |
| 10 | American Leadership Academy | Education | 219 |
Three observations that the list itself does not spell out. By our own addition of the Town’s ten figures, the top ten account for 5,199 jobs, and Queen Creek Unified School District alone is 1,630 of them — close to a third of the whole list. Four of the ten are public sector or quasi-public: QCUSD, Chandler Unified, the Town itself and American Leadership Academy, a charter operator. Adding those four gives 2,811 jobs, again our own arithmetic, which is more of the list than the five named retailers (Walmart, Costco, Fry’s, Target and Safeway) contribute between them at 1,588.
The practical read for a job seeker: in Queen Creek, the reliable large-employer pipelines are school districts, a hospital system, a municipal payroll and big-box grocery and retail. If your field is not one of those, the Town’s own list names no employer in it, and the search widens to the regional corridors the commute figures further down this page measure. Our guide to what is being built in and around Queen Creek covers the projects that are meant to change that mix.
This list predates LG Energy Solution production. Because the underlying dataset is the 2023/2024 MAG Employer Database published in July 2025, the battery plant does not appear on it at anything like its target size. Do not read the ranking as a current-quarter snapshot.
3.LG Energy Solution: 1,500 New Jobs, and What Is Actually Confirmed
LG Energy Solution is the reason Queen Creek shows up in job searches that have nothing to do with schools or retail. The complex sits on about 300 developed acres at the northeast corner of Ironwood and Germann roads, against a total investment of $5.5 billion (KRW 7.2 trillion) announced in April 2024 for two plants: the cylindrical EV battery plant, “LG Energy Solution Arizona,” and an LFP pouch energy-storage plant, “LG Energy Solution Arizona ESS.” Combined nameplate capacity when fully operational is 53 GWh a year. Construction of the ESS plant has been paused since roughly June or July 2024, and no primary source confirms whether it has resumed as of September 2026.
| Item | What the Town publishes | As of |
|---|---|---|
| Jobs target | 1,500 new jobs at the cylindrical plant once fully operational | Town Economic Development page, as scraped September 20, 2026 |
| Hires reported by the Town | Approximately 150 employees hired through February 2026 | Through February 2026 — not refreshed since |
| Construction progress | Facility about 60% complete | August 2025 |
| Production start | “On track to open and begin production in late 2026” | Town page as published; a “Spring 2026” milestone also appears on the same page |
| Phase 2 (ESS plant) | Construction paused; no primary source confirms it has resumed | Pause reported around June/July 2024; unresolved as of September 2026 |
| Relative scale | The Town says the plant will be Queen Creek’s largest employer, “more than quadrupling the jobs offered by the next largest employer” | Town Economic Development FAQ page |
The hiring number is stale and we could not refresh it. “Approximately 150 employees hired” is labeled through February 2026 on the Town’s own page, which carried no newer figure when it was scraped on September 20, 2026. No more recent headcount from the Town or the company could be sourced. Read it as a February 2026 snapshot on the way to a target of 1,500 new jobs, not as the plant’s current staffing.
The production date comes with two Town statements rather than one. The Town’s own Economic Development page carries a “Spring 2026” milestone and, in the same timeline block, says the plant is “on track to open and begin production in late 2026.” Both are published by the Town; the honest reading is a Spring-to-late-2026 window, and we quote both rather than choosing between them. Treat any single date quoted elsewhere as attributable to whichever page it came from, on the date it was read.
Two more things a candidate should know. The second plant, the LFP pouch ESS facility, has been paused since roughly June or July 2024, and no primary source confirms it has resumed — so the 53 GWh combined figure and any jobs attached to the second plant are not a near-term hiring pipeline. And there is no LG Energy Solution careers page for the Arizona site; the company directs applicants to its LinkedIn company page. Anything else presenting itself as the official LGES Arizona job portal is a third-party aggregator, and you should verify a posting against the LinkedIn page before you hand over documents.
4.What the Census Numbers Say About Working in Queen Creek
The clearest evidence about the Queen Creek job market is not an employer list at all — it is the commute. The figures below are Census American Community Survey data as reported by Data USA, accessed September 22, 2026. Data USA aggregates the Census Bureau’s own ACS API, so treat these as ACS-derived through an aggregator rather than as a direct Census Bureau citation. Data USA attaches no survey vintage to the 31.1-minute mean, though the canonical facts sheet records the same figure from Census QuickFacts, ACS 2020-2024. The commute-mode shares are 2024.
| Measure | Queen Creek | United States |
|---|---|---|
| Mean commute time | 31.1 minutes | 26.4 minutes |
| Labor force participation rate | 69.8% | 63.5% |
| Unemployment rate | 4.3% | 5.2% |
| Drove alone to work | 61.6% | Not published in this comparison |
| Worked at home | 25.5% | Not published in this comparison |
| Carpooled | 9.38% | Not published in this comparison |
| Commute of 90 minutes or more | 1.38% of workers | Not published in this comparison |
Read together, those rows describe a town with a high rate of work and a long trip to it. Labor force participation runs more than six points above the national figure and unemployment runs below it, but the mean commute is nearly five minutes longer than the US mean. A quarter of workers — 25.5% — report working at home, which is the single most important number on this page for anyone weighing a Queen Creek address against a job that is not in Queen Creek. For actual driving times to the Phoenix, Chandler and Tempe employment corridors, see our drive times from Queen Creek page, which handles them as measured snapshots rather than promises.
Income is the other half of the picture, and there are two legitimate figures rather than one. The Town’s own Economic Development site cites a median household income of $155,001, labeled Census ACS 2024 — a one-year survey estimate. The Census ACS 2020-2024 five-year series, as reported by Data USA, puts it at $141,978, up from $134,719 the prior year. Neither corrects the other; they are different survey vintages, and the five-year figure smooths a period when the town was growing fast. If you are budgeting against a specific offer, our cost of living breakdown is the page that turns those numbers into monthly figures.
5.Free Workforce Help: ARIZONA@WORK, Pinal County and the Battery Accelerator
Queen Creek straddles a county line, and the free workforce services follow the line rather than the town boundary. Which office serves you depends on which county your address sits in — a distinction that matters for enrollment, not just paperwork.
| Resource | Who it serves | What it provides |
|---|---|---|
| ARIZONA@WORK Maricopa County | The Maricopa County portion of Queen Creek | No-cost workforce development services through two comprehensive career centers plus eight partner sites across the county |
| Pinal County Workforce Development | The Pinal County portion of the Queen Creek market area | County workforce development office; the entry point on the Pinal side |
| Future48 Workforce Accelerator | Battery-manufacturing training for the region | 19,850-square-foot training facility at Central Arizona College’s Superstition Mountain Campus in Apache Junction |
One statewide body is often listed alongside these and should not be: the Arizona Commerce Authority is a business-side contact, not a job-seeker service. Its Business Development Division is the statewide single point of contact for site selection, incentives and business-resource assistance — useful if you are the employer relocating, not if you are the applicant.
The Future48 accelerator is the most Queen-Creek-specific item on that list, even though it sits in Apache Junction. It was built around battery-manufacturing training, and Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley took part in its grand opening, per the Arizona Commerce Authority’s April 2025 release. It is the clearest evidence that the training pipeline for the battery plant was being stood up alongside the building, rather than after it.
We could not find a Queen Creek-specific career center or one-stop office with its own street address as of September 2026, distinct from the general ARIZONA@WORK Maricopa and Pinal County referral pages. If you need an in-person appointment, start from your county’s page above rather than searching for a Queen Creek branch.
6.Why This Page Publishes No Salary or Wage Figures
Plenty of pages about Queen Creek jobs show a salary range. This one does not, and the reason is worth stating plainly: no primary source — an employer’s own page or a job posting with a stated wage — was collected for LG Energy Solution, Banner Ironwood, the Town of Queen Creek or Queen Creek Unified School District. Ranges that circulate on aggregator sites are modeled or crowd-sourced, not published by these employers, and we will not launder one into a sourced-looking number.
Where you can get a real figure, in the order that works:
- Open the live posting itself. A live posting is the only place a stated wage would appear, so start at the Town’s career opportunities page and QCUSD’s employment page.
- Look for a published salary schedule. School districts and municipalities generally adopt pay schedules as public documents; ask the employer’s human resources office for the current one rather than relying on a third-party estimate.
- Ask the employer’s human resources office. The employer is the only source that can confirm what a posted role pays; no workforce office speaks for it.
- Do not treat an aggregator estimate as an offer. Job boards model ranges from incomplete data; a modeled range is not a commitment from the employer and should never anchor a housing budget.
The same discipline applies to headcounts. Any site telling you how many people LG Energy Solution employs in Queen Creek today is either repeating the Town’s February 2026 figure without its date, or estimating. There is no fresher published number.
7.A Queen Creek Job Search, in the Order That Actually Works
Given how the employer base is shaped, a search run in this order wastes the least time. It is built entirely from what the sources above publish.
- Start with the two employers that publish local postings. The Town of Queen Creek and QCUSD both run their own careers pages with their own application systems. Between them they account for 2,219 of the top ten’s jobs by our addition of the Town’s figures.
- Set the Town’s job interest card before you need it. Because only positions with an open and close date accept applications, the interest card is the only way to hear about a role that is not posted yet.
- Budget a separate application per Town posting. One application does not carry to a second opening, so apply to each role you want on its own.
- Search Banner system-wide, not by town. There is no Banner Ironwood careers page, so start from Banner Health’s system-wide careers site; the separate physician and advanced-practice board is the only one where Banner Ironwood listings were confirmed, so check it if that is your field.
- Verify any LG Energy Solution posting against the company’s LinkedIn page. With no official careers site for the Arizona plant, LinkedIn is the reference point the company itself points to.
- Add the county workforce office matching your address. Maricopa-side residents go to ARIZONA@WORK Maricopa; Pinal-side residents to Pinal County Workforce Development. For battery-manufacturing roles specifically, the Future48 accelerator is the training route.
- Only then widen to the regional employment corridors. The town’s mean commute already runs nearly five minutes above the US mean, so a role outside town limits belongs in the plan from the start rather than as a fallback.
One caveat about the Town’s broader economic plans. The Town’s Economic Development Strategic Plan, adopted in May 2026, identifies five target industry clusters for future job diversification. We could not fetch the plan page directly — it returned a 403 error on two attempts on September 22, 2026 — so we are not naming the five clusters or quoting the plan here. If that plan matters to your field, read it on the Town’s own site rather than trusting a summary.
8.If You Are Moving to Queen Creek for a Job
Where you land in town changes the commute more than most newcomers expect, because the employment geography is lopsided. The LG Energy Solution complex sits in the northeastern part of town, at the northeast corner of Ironwood and Germann roads, well away from the town’s southern and western edges. If the plant is your workplace, measure the drive from a specific address before you commit to it, and do the same in reverse if your job is in the Chandler or Tempe corridors.
- Working at the battery plant: prioritize the northeast quadrant and check the Ironwood and Germann approach at your actual shift times, not midday.
- Working for the Town, QCUSD or Banner: the posting names the work site, so read the address off the listing and measure that specific drive before you choose a neighborhood.
- Working out of town: the mean commute of 31.1 minutes and the 25.5% work-at-home share (Census ACS data as reported by Data USA) are the two numbers to weigh; a hybrid schedule changes the math on a longer drive more than any single neighborhood choice.
From there, the housing side is its own research project. Our neighborhood comparison sets out which master plans sit where and at what price, new construction in Queen Creek covers the builders still opening phases, and the 30-day relocation checklist sequences utilities, registration and school enrollment so a start date does not collide with a closing date.
